Overview Student-Specific Analytics provides a deep dive into the performance, progress, and activity of individual students. This allows teachers to understand each student's strengths and weaknesses, their time management, and their mastery level across topics. The dashboard enables tracking of test results and accuracy analysis, ensuring a personalized approach to teaching.
To view detailed analytics for a specific student, there are two navigation options:
Option 1: From the Student List
Navigate to the Students tab from the main menu.
In the list of students, locate the desired student using the search bar or by scrolling through the list.
Click on the student’s name or the View Analytics button under their profile.
Option 2: From the Analytics Dashboard
Open the Analytics tab from the main menu.
Use the student selection dropdown to find the student by name or email.
Select the student, and their detailed analytics will appear.
The Students page offers additional controls, such as:
Granting Access: Upgrade or assign access plans (Starter, Essential).
Exporting Data: Use the export option to download student-specific details, such as email, signup date, test progress, and more, based on selected filters like date range or test interest.
Once you access a student’s analytics, the following sections provide a complete performance breakdown:
1. Time Management
Displays the average time spent by the student on each topic, compared to their peers.
Example: If a student spends 3 seconds solving a reading question on “Command of Evidence” while peers take 10 seconds, it highlights their speed or lack of focus on that topic.
Identifies the Top Three Areas of Weakness in time management, suggesting where the student could improve pacing.
2. LQ Mastery Score
Tracks the student’s mastery level (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced) for each topic in Reading, Writing, and Math.
Topics are color-coded to indicate performance:
Red for low mastery.
Blue for intermediate progress.
Green for advanced understanding.
Example: A student might achieve 56% mastery in “Central Idea and Details” but remain a novice in “Cross Text and Connections.”
3. Accuracy Analysis
Displays the student’s accuracy percentage for each topic within the selected subject.
Bar charts show which topics they excel in and where they struggle.
Example: A student achieves 57% accuracy in “Central Idea and Details” but scores 0% in other categories like “Inferences” or “Words in Context.”
Highlights the Top Three Weak Areas to guide remedial actions.
Test Results Section
Lists the student’s performance in specific tests, including:
Topic Name
Date Taken
Mastery Level (e.g., Intermediate, Novice).
Outcome (e.g., Won/Lost).
Example: A student completes a test on “Central Idea and Details” on June 16, 2024, and achieves an intermediate level while winning the challenge.
5. Strengths and Weaknesses Analysis
Offers a topic-by-topic breakdown, showing:
Top 3 Area of Strength
Top 3 Area of Weakness
This section allows teachers to select specific topics (e.g., "Command of Evidence") and tailor their teaching or assignments accordingly.
6. Individualized Insights
Provides actionable feedback generated by AI, such as:
Encouraging the student to focus on “Words in Context.”
Suggesting more practice on time-intensive topics.
Teachers can design personalized assignments and quizzes based on these analytics.
Conclusion The Student-Specific Analytics feature ensures that teachers can tailor their teaching strategies to individual needs. By leveraging time management, accuracy, and mastery insights, instructors can provide focused support, helping students achieve their goals effectively.
