# Manage Your Batches

## **Batches Page Overview**

The **Batches page** is your central hub for organizing, managing, and monitoring groups of learners. Whether you run large courses, timed programs, or need to coordinate multiple student groups with different instructors — **Batches help you structure everything clearly.**

If the **Users page** gives you control over individuals, the **Batches page** gives you control over groups.

### **What is a Batch?**

A **batch** is a group of users (students or learners) who are learning together, typically under the guidance of assigned teachers and within a defined time frame.

For example, you might have:

* A **March 2023 SAT Batch** for students starting prep in that month
* A **Summer Revision Batch** for those retaking exams
* A **Pro Max Plan Batch** where only premium users are grouped for advanced resources

***

### **Why Use Batches?**

Using batches helps you:

* Group users by course sessions, academic terms, or subscription plans
* Assign journeys and content in bulk
* Monitor group progress collectively
* Assign multiple teachers to one group
* Keep your operations clean, organized, and scalable

Instead of managing learners one-by-one, you work at the group level — saving time and improving oversight.

### **Main Features of the Batches Page**

#### 1. **View and Navigate All Batches**

At the top of the page, you can view and filter batches using tabs:

* **All Batches**: See every batch ever created
* **Active Batches**: Currently running groups
* **Upcoming Batches**: Groups with a future start date
* **Completed Batches**: Past groups with an end date
* **Archived Batches**: Batches that are no longer active but kept for records

Each row in the batch table gives you a quick summary, including:

* **Batch Name**
* **Date Created**
* **Status** (Active, Completed, etc.)
* **Assigned Teachers**
* **Number of Users**
* **Assigned Journeys**
* **Edit and Archive options**

You can click on **View** under the Users column to see who is in each batch.

#### 2. **Assign Teachers and Staff**

Each batch can have one or more instructors, coordinators, or admins assigned to manage it. This helps in:

* Coordinating communication
* Organizing teaching schedules
* Managing specific groups more efficiently

Assigned teachers appear clearly in the batch view so you always know who’s responsible for what.

***

#### 3. **Assign Journeys to the Entire Batch**

Instead of assigning learning content one student at a time, you can assign a **learning journey** (like “DSAT Medium” or “DSAT Practice”) to an **entire batch** at once.

This ensures:

* Every student in the batch follows the same curriculum path
* Resources, practice tests, and schedules are aligned
* Teaching can be standardized for that group

You can also assign multiple journeys to the same batch depending on their needs.

#### 4. **Edit Batch Details Anytime**

Clicking **Edit** on any batch allows you to modify:

* **Batch name**
* **Course associated** (e.g., Digital SAT)
* **Assigned teachers or staff**
* **Batch start and end date**
* **Filter criteria to select users** (e.g., by sign-up date or plan type)
* **Manually add or remove specific users**

This gives you full flexibility to refine your batches as your program evolves.

#### 5. **Archive Batches for Clean-up**

When a batch is no longer needed — for example, a course has ended or the students have graduated — you can **archive** it.

Archived batches:

* Are no longer editable
* Are kept in the system for records
* Do not appear in the active operations workflow

This helps maintain a clean and current view of active learners without losing historical data.

* Create and manage learner groups
* Assign multiple staff to each group
* Attach customized learning journeys
* Track batch performance
* Edit, archive, or reuse groups easily

Whether you’re handling 30 students or 3000, this page helps bring **clarity, structure, and control** to your day-to-day academic operations.
